SSN Medical Products Sdn Bhd was established in 1997 as a private limited company under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965. From its beginnings in 1997, the company headed by Mr. Clinton Ang Teck Leong, has embarked on a steady course towards achieving its vision of "Owning the Latex Medical Disposables segment".

SSNMP started out by manufacturing Natural Latex Male Condoms and it continues to do so until this day. Over the years, it has also expanded its business to include other latex medical disposables namely Latex Medical Gloves. In 2009, spurred by the H1N1 Flu outbreak as well as the increasing demand from loyal glove customers, SSNMP had increased its focus on growing the glove segment sales. However, it did this by not concentrating on volume only but also by focusing on developing Specialty Gloves. This has resulted in the gloves trading turnover exceeding condom sales for the first time in SSNMP’s history and by 2011, sales of gloves had accounted for 70% of turnover.
